Training

Operator Systems has an experienced team of consultants. We provide implementation services to help our customers transform and improve their manufacturing processes and operations. In addition to the implementation of the system, we offer the possibility of conducting customized training at your company in the areas in which we specialize, such as:

When implementing our solutions based on our proprietary Operator Platform, we make sure that the key users of the system in your company acquire the necessary knowledge in a practical way – by participating in project meetings, communicating user requirements and configuring the system. However, if you want to start by organizing a training course or workshop – we are ready to prepare an offer tailored to your production needs.

We can conduct training courses on-site – at your company’s premises, at a jointly selected conference center, or in a hybrid formula – conducting part of the classes in a remote format using, for example. Microsoft Teams.

If you want to make better use of technology to improve your production, contact us. Together we will consider what competencies are worth developing in your team to make even better use of the Operator Platform.

MES training program

The following is a sample MES Operator Systems training program that we provide for our current and future customers. The training consists of several thematic modules, and upon completion, trainees will be able to

  • analyze the requirements of your production in terms of MES capabilities,
  • conduct job training for end users – employees, machine operators, technical staff, etc,
  • administer to a basic extent the Operator System,
  • plan the development of the system, deployment projects on more machines or the launch of more functionalities.
The sample training program outlined below may, depending on the specific requirements of the ordering party and the competence of the participating group, take from 2 to 5 working days.

Module 1: Introduction to the MES system Platform Operator

  • Discuss the definition and function of the MES system and its role in the manufacturing process.
  • Introduce basic terminology related to MES systems.
  • Presenting Theadvantages and benefits of implementing the MES system Platform Operator, such as improving production efficiency, increasing quality, optimizing planning, material and process traceability or increasing employee motivation.
  • Discuss the key challenges and risks to the effective implementation of an MES solution.
  • To summarize – presenting selected case studies from implementations of the Operator Platform.

Module 2: MES system architecture

  • Introducing the overall architecture of the MES system, including the hardware layer, software layer and interfaces.
  • Discuss the role and function of the various components of the MES system.
  • Demonstration of Operator Platform integration methods using Operator Dynamic Integration Engine, a proprietary solution from Operator Systems that enables simple definition of integration between systems and supervision of running interfaces.
  • Machine Data Acquisition(MDA) – that is, how to integrate the data collected by our machines, or how to start collecting it using IoT(Internet-of-things) modules and sensors.
  • Presentation of the OPC/OPC UA standard and discussion of the capabilities of the Operator Datalogger solution for integration and data acquisition from machines.

Module 3: MES functions

  • Presentation of MES functions and modules using the Operator Platform as an example, such as production monitoring and control, production logistics management, quality control, statistical process control, traceability, etc.
  • A detailed discussion of selected functions – depending on the group’s scope of interest – monitoring of production efficiency using the OEE indicator, production logistics and material flow control, Quality Control, etc…
  • Available reporting tools, access to the database, creation and modification of dashboards.
  • Operator Platform configuration tools

Module 4: MES system implementation

  • Discussion of the various stages of implementation of the MES class system based on the experience of the Operator Systems team. We will tell you how the pre-implementation analysis of requirements (pre-study), solution configuration, testing and go-live are carried out.
  • Highlighting the biggest challenges and risks in implementing information systems for manufacturing. Why do implementation projects so often fail?
  • Best practices in MES implementations – what are the keys to success in manufacturing IT projects?
  • What after Go-live? How to work on the development of the system after the project is completed, how to implement maintenance efficiently, monitor availability and get quick support in case of problems.
